My Background

Hello my name is Faaasu Loia but you can call me Asu (The Smiling Assassin). I was born in Samoa and my family came to New Zealand when I was 6. When I arrived couldn't speak a word of English.

I started boxing when I got sick of being the bell girl and time keeper and just watching my brother Lafi in the ring. I fell in love with boxing and for my first fight I won the Waikato Championships. Since then I have been honoured to represent New Zealand on numerous occasions and in 2016 I won the New Zealand U64kg Championship.

In 2017 I took the year off from competitive boxing to finish my studies (Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science). As a result I became the first person in my family to graduate with a degree and was awarded the top academic student for my year.

My philosophy is that I want to make the world a better place one person at a time and to keep smiling. That's why my nickname is The Smiling Assassin. Throughout my boxing career I have been training up to 3 times a day 6 days per week so I have used massage therapy to help me recover from hard training, injuries and to keep me Fighting Fit. Having experienced the benefits of massage and wanting to help people I have trained to be a massage therapist.

I have been practicing massage therapy since 2016 and have experience with elite athletes such as Katie Perkins - NZ White Ferns Cricketer, Siaosi Tuatao - Champion body builder, and the Northern Stars Netball team. Check out my Testimonials page. I also have experience with people wanting to relax and de-stress.

I hope to see you soon.
